Mike Cote became president and CEO of SecureWorks in February of 2002. Under his leadership, the firm has grown organically to become the fastest-growing Internet security services company in the world with compound annual growth rates exceeding 200% to date. Prior to joining SecureWorks, Cote held executive positions with Talus Solutions, a pricing and revenue management software firm acquired by Manugistics in 2000. Cote joined Talus from MSI Solutions, a web application development and systems integration company where, as Chief Operating Officer, he helped fuel the company's growth from $3 million to $25 million in revenues in three years. In addition to other technology executive roles, Cote's early career included international assignments with KPMG and systems engineering and marketing roles with IBM.

Cote's leadership style is punctuated by open communication, high integrity, and a client-centric philosophy. Cote is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of Business Executives for National Security. He is a graduate of Boston College with a double major in computer science and accounting. In 2007, Mike Cote was recognized as #92 on Entrepreneur Magazine's Hot 500 list.
