Dr. Dwight "Ike" Reighard

Chief People Officer, HomeBanc

Dr. Dwight “Ike” Reighard, chosen as HomeBanc’s Chief People Officer, has brought immeasurable contribution to the recruitment, retention, training, and organizational development for this forerunning organization striving to become America’s Most Admired Company. As a former consultant for several years, Reighard already demonstrated first-hand that he offers leading-edge human capital management strategies and techniques which have helped HomeBanc capture major market share, top industry rankings, and nearly perfect employee satisfaction scores.

To understand the depth of Reighard’s expertise in shepherding people toward success using a servant leadership style, it is important to know that his background is anything but ordinary. Having served as a leader outside the corporate arena for the last two decades, Reighard built large-scale spiritual communities throughout Georgia for well-known organizations classified as mega churches. In fact, his understanding of people and what motivates them toward peak performance has exceeded the boundaries of for-profit organizations, where monetary incentives are too often the primary drivers of results.

Unquestionably Reighard’s ability to create and mobilize large-scale teams of volunteers, who are motivated by highly personalized rewards, to achieve phenomenal growth goals have been hallmarks of his successful career. During his first year as Chief People Officer, HomeBanc was recognized by the Atlanta Business Chronicle as The Best Place To Work in Atlanta. Fortune Magazine placed HomeBanc at #39 on their 2004 list of Best Companies to Work For. During his second year, HomeBanc placed #20 on Fortune’s 2005 list of Best Companies to Work For.

As Founding Pastor of NorthStar Church, which was ranked as one of the fastest growing church start-ups among 350,000 churches nationwide, Reighard championed a ground-floor organization to a membership of 2,000 with record speed. Similarly, as the former Senior Pastor of New Hope Baptist Church, Reighard leveraged both his vision and inspirational leadership approach to expand from a 500 to a 5,000-person membership with remarkable efficiency.

In addition to transforming the organization’s focus, revitalizing its programming, and increasing its community outreach, Reighard built the denomination’s 2nd fastest growing church in America. Defining core values, identifying individuals’ natural abilities, cultivating leadership, and inspiring commitment are among only a few of Reighard’s many strengths. With an undisputed track record in advocating a belief that community activism and spiritual wellness are critical components of positive, productive living, Reighard passionately embraces HomeBanc’s widely-admired, faith-based operating philosophy. Accordingly, he lends a wealth of expertise in designing programs that foster long-term employee satisfaction and loyalty as well as leading grass-roots civic initiatives, which reinforce HomeBanc’s vision of providing One Voice to its staff, customers, and community.

Reighard earned both a Doctor of Ministry and Master’s of Divinity from Luther Rice Seminary along with a Bachelor’s degree from Mercer University. As a published author of three inspirational books, frequent guest of the media, and recipient of a number of academic appointments, Reighard is a man of many talents who has earned the utmost respect from all who have so greatly benefited by knowing him. In addition to being an exceptional husband to his wife of 20 years, Reighard is also a loving father of two daughters.
